Linux System Engineering.

At Govannon we are specialized in gnu/linux server environments and solutions. Most of the time we expand existing infrastructure and network environments with extra security measurements and control.

An other service we supply on a frequent basis is a migration from an existing MS Windows based server environment towards a gnu/linux one.

A typical server park that we have expanded or build includes :

- A firewall.
- An internet proxy server with transparent virus scanning abilities.
- A mail server with calender / contact / mail sharing and mobile syncing capabilities.
- A transparent mail filter for (image) spam and viri (provided by GAMS).
- A fileserver which may double as a Primary/Secondary Domain Controller for windows clients.
- A print server.
- An incremental Backup server where it is possible to store the backups offsite.
- A webserver providing intra-,extra- and inter-net services.
- A Monitoring and alerting system that checks all servers and services.
- A packaging server which takes care of scheduled and distributed (security) updates to all clients
- A VPN environnent for home workers and roadwarriors
